Gillian Kaye

I’m an international collaboration and planning consultant and coach with expertise in organizational capacity building, coalition building, strategic planning, community organizing and facilitating and designing community and cross-stakeholder collaboration. I'm deeply commited to mentoring and coaching groups and individuals to achieve their outcomes and step into their leadership. I love designing amazing processes for group engagement and learning.  Building effective collaborations and partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups for empowerment is my passion.

Over the past thirty years, I’ve focused my work on building capacity, opportunity, empowerment and leadership with and for organizations working with marginalized and disenfranchised communities. I have a deeply held commitment to working on core issues of race, class and power disparities and dynamics within and across groups and systems. I also have a strong track record of  working with groups and institutions through a lens that values multiculturalism and diversity.  My approach to clients is highly individualized and “high touch,” with a profound respect for each organization and its mission and values.

I have 30 years of experience working with non-profits and communities and deep background and experience in creating engagement – knowing how to pull out the richest personal “data” from people that will help our work.   I also understand change management – I’ve helped many organizations and individuals through coaching and consulting examine and manage change at multiple levels.  

I have been privileged to work with and provide consultation to hundreds of diverse communities, organizations, boards, foundations and government agencies in New York City, across the United States and abroad. I've helped them to build core skills and capacities, construct new systems and programs, facilitate strategic outcome-based plans and achieve systemic change and paradigm shifts.  With a strong emphasis on partnered learning, I've coached numerous emerging Executive Directors and other leaders in order to grow the future of non-profit leadership. I also have deep experience in designing and delivering curricula and training, creating, supervising and evaluating training systems and trainers
